Our parts are essential in nearly every aspect of an EV build. Explore how retaining rings, wave springs, and hose clamps contribute to electric vehicle assemblies below.
Internal Retaining rings/ Snap rings are used to retain shaft bearings in the motor housing. Multi-Turn wave springs are used to preload bearings and reduce high speed vibration.
Radial E rings are used to retain the circuit boards on their mounting posts.
Poodle rings are used here to secure an electric fan and shroud on top of the converter housing.
Push-On retaining rings are used to secure module to module connections between battery packs.
Internal snap rings are used to retain bearings for the main compressor shaft, while a circlip holds the gears in place.
E rings are used in the blower motor to retain the blower fan blades on a keyed shaft.
An external Beveled section ring is used on a splined shaft to eliminate end play between the groove and retained water pump blade.
Constant-tension band clamps are used to secure low pressure overflow hoses from the radiator to the overflow reservoir.
Patented flat end Single-Turn wave springs are being used to pre load the fan bearings and extend bearing life.
A shim end Multi-Turn wave spring retained by an external shaft ring is used to seal the radiator cap to maintain system pressure.
Used in the high pressure battery pack cooling system, the quick connect fittings utilize internal snap rings to retain the bearings that are preloaded by a Single-Turn wave spring and a Multi-Turn wave spring in the internal quick connect and valve assemblies.
A shim end Multi-Turn wave spring retained by a Push-On retaining ring is used in the side mirror hinge.
Radial E rings are used on the external linkages to connect the motor shaft to the wiper arms. A bowed E ring is used on the splined wiper motor shaft to remove end play on the retained adapter plate. An external spiral ring is used to retain a worm gear on the main wiper motor shaft.
A reinforced E clip is used to retain the glove box compartment on its guide rail.

Rotor Clip manufacturers every style of retaining ring, however Balanced Tapered Section retaining rings are a cost-effective option for high-speed applications which require a low balance/noise in the assembly.
Rotor Clip Wave Springs offer a simple solution by replacing multiple components, simplifying installation, and reducing the risk of errors. Wave springs deliver the same force and deflection as coil springs, but with the added benefits of space and weight savings. Watch our latest video to see how a single wave spring can be used to optimize this transmission assembly!
Extend the life of your bearing preload with Rotor Clip Wave Springs. By applying consistent axial force, wave springs minimize internal movement, reduce noise, and prevent vibration, all while saving space.
