This webinar introduces the different wave spring types available to the design engineer and addresses 5 of the many benefits flat wire wave springs have to offer such as space savings, better load characteristics, and design simplification. Most engineers have plenty of experience with tradition coil and disc springs, while single- and multi-turn wave springs remain something of a mystery. Yet wave springs, particularly those made from flat wire, should be better known, given their compelling engineering advantages. Other items that will be discussed are material choices, wave spring design considerations, and application examples.
