Installation

Radially installed retaining rings are designed for applications where installation needs to be radial, when axial installation is impossible due to interference from other components. By machining a groove onto the shaft and installing the ring, the shoulder will ensure components are held securely in place. Since these radial retaining rings don’t come with lug holes, special tools known as applicators and dispensers, as well as tailored packaging options can make quick work of installation.
